Hong Kong billionaire Carson Yeung has met with the owners of Birmingham City about a proposed takeover at the club.
There had been reports that the deal was close to collapse amid fears Yeung had cooled on the idea.
It is now reported in the Birmingham Mail that he has held a meeting with both David Gold and David Sullivan and is now ready to lodge funds with the investment bankers Seymour Pierce so things can be pushed forward.
Yeung, a reported football fanatic, has now had a look around the club and training facilities and the chances of a buy out appear to be growing with reports that it would lead to a complete break with the old board if it were to happen.
