Geremi Set For Newcastle Switch
Geremi is set to become Sam Allardyce's latest signing at St James' Park as the Cameroon midfielder returns to the North East.
The 28-year-old rarely featured last season, making just five starts as he became more of a utility man at Stamford Bridge.
His chances would have been limited again, especially in his favoured midfield position, leaving him as a reserve right-back if he was to stay with the Londoners. It seems much more likely that a move will be in the offing and Newcastle are heading the interested parties.
It is believed that Middlesbrough would be keen on resigning the player who spent a successful year on loan at the Riverside prior to his move to Chelsea, but the player is said to favour Newcastle.
The snub would be a further blow to Boro's morale as they have already lost striker Mark Viduka to their rivals this summer.
aw.. Boro is going to struggle this season le..
