Capello To Be Sacked Tomorrow

Fabio Capello is in his final 24 hours as Real Madrid coach.
A board meeting that was supposed to take place on Monday was postponed due to the celebrations of Real Madrid's basketball win over Barcelona.
However, the meeting will take place tomorrow, during which Pedja Mijatovic will present a detailed report of all that has transpired over the last nine months.
Spanish daily AS insist that there is absolutely no chance of Capello staying on, and that an announcement will be made after the meeting.
It is understood that most in the board back Calderon, and have refused to be blinded by what even they consider to be a rather fortuitous La Liga win.
The general consensus seems to be that there have been some massive problems, as much with Capello's style of management, those that have been covered by Barcelona and Sevilla allowing them into the title race.
That he is single-handedly responsible for the exits of Ronaldo and David Beckham, both of whom have hit top form since January, is hardly helping Don Fabio's cause. The board seem to believe that the two were scapegoated for Madrid's, and in fact Capello's failures.
Also, contrary to Capello's claims yesterday, he will receive compensation for only one of his remaining two years.
The meeting will also decide on how much time Bernd Schuster will be allowed to find his way out of Getafe. It is understood that he will hasten his exit the moment Capello is sacked, but Madrid do not want to wait for long. -

I never like and never will like Real Madrid's way of handling their coaches.

La Liga - Real sack Capello - report
La Liga - Real Madrid have sacked coach Fabio Capello, according to Spanish media reports.
Radio Marca claimed that the board have decided to show the Italian the door, despite having recently led the Merengues to their first league title in four years in just his first season in charge.
Rumours have long been rife over Capello's future, with Getafe's Bernd Schuster touted widely as his successor.
President Ramon Calderon last week refused to give any assurances over wether the club would stick by Capello, merely stating the decision would be left to the sporting commission, headed by Predrag Mijatovic.
It would not be the first time Real Madrid have let go a successful. Jupp Heynckes was sacked in 1998 after winning the Champions League, while Vicente Del Bosque was also dismissed despite delivering two Liga titles and two Champions League titles in his four seasons in charge. -

Real axe falls on Capello
Real Madrid have, as expected, sacked coach Fabio Capello.
The Spanish giants have decided to dispense with the services of Capello just 11 days after he guided them to the Primera Liga title.
Capello's future at Real has been the subject of conjecture for some time with his style of management not winning favour with the club's fans and board.
Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic confirmed the club's board decided to axe Capello after lengthy discussions about the future at El Santiago Bernabeu.
"We have taken the decision not to continue with Fabio Capello next season," said Mijatovic.
"It was a difficult decision, but it was a unanimous decision based on an exhaustive report I made to the board.
"We don't think Fabio Capello is the right person to lead Real Madrid into the future given what we want this club to achieve.
"Now we have time to think over who will be the next coach of the club.
"I haven't managed to talk it over with him personally because he is on holiday at the moment, but I did manage to speak to his son who is also his lawyer."
The move clears the way for Getafe manager Bernd Schuster to succeed Capello in the Spanish capital. -
Capello Thankful And Gracious In Defeat
Fabio Capello has refused to express bitterness over his Real Madrid sacking.
The now former Real Madrid coach has voiced his emotions through a statement released to the press by his lawyers.
Read the statement: "I would like to thank publically Real Madrid to allow me to coach for the second time this great club, and to having helped me contribute like in 1996-1997 to win the Liga title.
"A thank you also to the squad, the technical staff and medical team, and Franco Baldini, who has always been close to me during this time.
"Thanks to everyone for the support that they have given in this experience.
"I can't forget our fans, without a doubt the best fan-base in the world." -
Got to be one of the howlers in La Liga.
Capello was gentlemanly enuff and admitted wrong in the Beckham's saga, probably shaked up the dressing room and made believes that they still had a good chance to win the La Liga (which they did on the hairline) and still got sacked. What a joke.

Seems like they prefer someone who relishes attractive football and to appease the fans. Effective yet winning tactics are so out for the board.
