  Newcastle are reportedly one of a number of clubs keen on Barcelona midfielder Edmilson, while David Rozehnal's move is nearing closer.
  
  The Magpies have been linked with numerous players over recent weeks, with Chelsea utility man Geremi also high on their list of targets.
  
  And they have now made an approach to 30-year-old Brazilian Edmilson, according to the Evening Chronicle.
  
  The former Lyon enforcer has won titles in both France and Spain, the Champions League and the World Cup, and is approaching the end of his final year at the Nou Camp.
