Arrigo Sacchi has stated that he is not surprised that Real Madrid have opted to sack Fabio Capello and believes that Rafa BenÃtez would be the best man to replace him.
Despite the rumours that Bernd Schuster has already been lined up to take over, Sacchi believes that BenÃtez, a former Madrid youth team coach, should be the next choice.
"The best coach in the world at the moment is Rafa BenÃtez and he knows all about Madrid," he stated. "There is nobody better than him.
"I like Schuster, but I think that BenÃtez has that little something extra than the rest.
Sacchi is no stranger to launching public attacks on Capello, but he did have some words of sympathy for the departing coach.
"He had extraordinary season and I have always said that he is a great coach and a great professional," the former Italian national team trainer explained.
"The problem is that his way of playing and his understanding of the game is a long way from the views held by Madrid fans.
"I feel for Capello, but in Spain the mentality is different from the one in Italy.
"In Italy if you win the league and you asked the fans for their opinion, 90 per cent would say that the coach should stay.
"I think that Marca did a survey recently of Madrid fans and only 45 per cent wanted Capello to remain at the club.
"I have always said that Capello is a great coach, but it is just that I do not like his football.
"He can say the same about me, but I just cannot lie about this.
"The style of play is important at Real Madrid. In Spain you have to win and play well.
"You have to produce an entertaining team, to show you are a unit and to thrill the crowd. For me, the esthetics was always the key."

Benitez will also not give the fans the kind of football they want. IF you want the free flowing kind of football, its Wenger.
