Blackburn have announced the signing of highly-rated striker Maceo Rigters from NAC Breda for an undisclosed fee.
The Dutch frontman, who starred for Holland as they won the Under-21 European Championships in June, has signed a four-year deal at Ewood Park.
Rigters, 23, had been linked with a host of British clubs including Celtic, Rangers, Newcastle and Norwich City.
He was due to travel to Glasgow for signing talks with Celtic on Tuesday, but instead signed for Blackburn for an undisclosed fee.
Rigters' goals in the Under-21 European Championships were enough to give him the golden boot as the tournament's top scorer.
A product of Ajax's youth academy, he has also played for Heerenveen and FC Dordrecht before joining NAC Breda in 2004.
