You are wrong. Cos when Man u buy players, they are meant for the future... Players who are still in the up and coming process and will probably have another 10 years of playing time left in them. One is buying players with a potential and not looking for instant success like (Ronaldo took 2, 3 yrs to come good) and the other just go out and buy present day best players with a short playing career left in them (2, 3yrs tops)... So you see in one deal, the players bought would most likely still have a sell-on value and maybe even make a handsome profit from it whereas the chelsea one just start to devalue from the day they sign for them... really... do the maths...

Tommy Docherty believes Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson must "win the lot" after his mega spending this summer.
Ex-United manager Docherty reckons Fergie will have to do the Quadruple to justify the cash he has spent.
The Doc said: "When you have spent the type of money Sir Alex has done, then he's got to win the lot.
"The Premiership isn't sufficient. He has got to win the Champions League this time and the FA Cup and the Carling Cup as well as retaining the League."

they choose to buy these players to prepare them for the future so when they lose are they going to blame on all these signings ?
and those young players they bought are well known AND most importantly EXPENSIVE

Pool has spent a good sum already, Spurs is not far behind, and Arsenal are not finish yet too... But unlike the last 3 yrs, where only chelsea were doing the big spending... Never before have we seen so many clubs spending big on players and the reason is because the pot money has increase, and I am not just saying for winning the premiership title but also just keeping your premiership status and the returns is already $50mÂ… and this doesnÂ’t even take into account your season long match dayÂ’s gate collectionsÂ…
So you see dear GP, the only reason Chelsea has spent a little lesser this season is because they have spent so much over the last 3 seasons that they probably donÂ’t need to buy too many this time aroundÂ… Some of the players they have signed may be free but they are certainly not bad players, Chelsea just took advantage of their end of contract status to get themÂ… But chances are none will be first team playersÂ… cos they already have a full squad of first team membersÂ… BTW, Alex isnÂ’t free if you care to know how he got to PSVÂ…
And If you also care to take a look at the amount Chelsea have spentÂ… $213.75m in the last 3 seasonsÂ… compare to unitedÂ’sÂ… $73.55mÂ… what is this seasonsÂ’Â… even if they were to buy 2 times over they will still lack far behindÂ…
Anyway, spending big money doesn't guarantee you will win the title otherwise chelsea would have won it last season's by a mile... $83m no title... United $20m ( 4 x lesser) Champions... .
