Sheva to hold crunch talks next week

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will hold crunch talks with Andriy Shevchenko next week before deciding whether to allow him to go back to AC Milan.
Shevchenko, 30, endured a miserable first year in London with Chelsea when he failed to win a regular first team place because of a lack of form and injuries.
That has led to AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliano making enquiries about him - just 12 months after they sold him for £30.9m.
Galliano has been in touch with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon and now Abramovich will decide on Shevchenko's future. The Ukraine striker has insisted publicly he wants to stay at Chelsea and Abramovich would still like him to be a success at Stamford Bridge rather than be written off as an expensive mistake. But the Russian billionaire will talk to Shevchenko to find out whether he wants to stay at Chelsea or go back to AC Milan.
It is believed that if the player is desperate to leave then Abramovich will let him go - even though they will take a huge loss on the price they paid last summer.
But Shevchenko, along with Michael Ballack, is Chelsea's top earner on £130,000 a week and has struggled to fit into the team and the dressing room and boss Jose Mourinho was not happy with his displays last season. -

Milan linked with £15m Sheva raid
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly happy to let the £130,000-a-week striker go back to Italy, but the final decision rests with Abramovich.
The billionaire is a personal friend of Shevchenko, and is keen to give the striker more time to impress.
But if the Ukraine international wants to return to Milan, then Abramovich could let him go despite the huge loss on the fee.
Milan have recently admitted they would like to bring Shevchenko back to the San Siro and have made room for his return by allowing Ricardo Oliveira to join Real Zaragoza, while Alberto Gilardino's future at the club also remains uncertain. -

Chelsea better act fast cos the season is gonna start soon. Plus majority of Chelsea team consists of African players, who will almost definitely compete in the African Nations Cup next year.

Considering Drogba's last season's top scorer, Essien and Kalou played pivitol role and Mikel playing better than Ballack, the African Nations Cup will really test Chelsea's challenge to win back the EPL.
