Lyon have confirmed an interest in signing Arsenal attacker Jose Antonio Reyes. The Spaniard is expected to leave Emirates Stadium before the close of the transfer window after spending last season on loan at Real Madrid.
Reyes has admitted he is waiting to secure a permanent move to Real, but could be offered a switch to Lyon.
The French champions are keen to increase their attacking options and president Jean-Michel Aulas has discussed a deal with sporting director Bernard Lacombe.
"I talked about him to Bernard Lacombe, who told me he is a good player," Aulas told L'Equipe.
"Indeed, he could enter our list, but we have had no contact so far. We also have two or three other trails."
Lyon coach Alain Perrin admits he would be happy if the club pursued a bid for Reyes, saying: "If you would offer me that player, I would say I am interested."
Meanwhile, Remy Riou has expressed his happiness after leaving Lyon to sign a four-year contract with Auxerre.
The goalkeeper told his new club's official website: "I have signed for four years with AJA after spending 11 years at Olympique Lyonnais.
"I am ambitious. Like every footballer, I am a competitor. Lyon are a top European side that don't really trust young players, so I have preferred to join a club that will trust me.
"Taking my chance elsewhere was the best solution."
