Thai trio land City chance
Manchester City have handed trials to three promising Thailand national team players.New City owner Thaksin Shinawatra is keen for Thai players to be given a chance to prove themselves at Premier League level and has invited Teerasil Daengda, Suree Sukha and Kiatprawut Saiwaeo over to England.
Defenders Suree (pictured) and Kiatprawut both featured in Thailand's recent Asian Cup campaign, while teenage striker Teerasil is seen as one for the future.
Sven Goran Eriksson will take a look at the trio in training and make a decision on whether to sign any of them on permanent deals.
"I believe our football standard and player ability are as good as other countries. The only difference is that the players have not had the opportunity as many others," Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi told The Nation.
"I think the three would fare well in the trial. They are still young and have a strong desire to play in the Premier League."
