New Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung has admitted his long-term aim is to be in charge of a Blues team of 11 Chinese players.
The Hong Kong-based tycoon paid £15million for a 29.9% stake in Blues this summer, and has agreed to complete a takeover of the club in the near future.
And he wants to put out a full team of his compatriots - once they improve their attitude.
"China has some good players but I don't think they have the right attitude," he said. "They stop progressing, they think too highly of themselves. I hope they improve so that I could form a team of 11 Chinese players in the Premier League."
While Yeung maintains he will not influence team selection, he hopes to bring in "one or two Chinese players" immediately on completion of his takeover.
"I want to complete the takeover as soon as possible, I want to help the club become stronger," he added.
"I hope to have one or two Chinese players at the club, but it's the coach who will choose the players, not me."
The first of those is likely to be national captain Zheng Zhi, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Charlton.
"So far we haven't contacted Zheng Zhi but I think he is excellent, he's good enough," said Yeung. "I just have the opportunity to introduce Chinese players to Steve, but I'll respect our coach." -

Mad guy. FIFA should really impose a rule on the maximum number of foreign players allowed, and the minimum English players that should be fielded.

My friend told me when she was living in China that during the world cup, when china was playing, all the school will stop lessons just to watch china play. Thats how supportive of the Chinese people.
So if got 2 players go over to EPL, confirm can sell lots of shirts to china -

Steve Bruce has warned Carson Yeung he will not be bullied into signing dodgy Chinese players.
BirminghamÂ’s new majority shareholder Yeung has admitted he sees future City teams containing plenty of Chinese players.
And he has already targeted national skipper and former Charlton striker Zheng-Zhi, 26.
Boss Bruce — who has still not met Yeung — said: “As manager I won’t be railroaded into anything.
“It doesn’t matter if someone’s English, Chinese, white, black or green, I can work with anyone as long as we are together for the good of the club.” -
