Sunderland boss Roy Keane has dropped his interest in Hearts' Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
The Black Cats had a bid for the 24-year-old rejected by Hearts, who are said to value the player at £10m.
Keane said: "It's been well-documented that we made a bid for the lad in Scotland that was turned down.
"That's the end of it. I have got two very good goalkeepers, Marton Fulop and Darren Ward, so that's it, it's dead in the water as far as I'm concerned."
Keane has been frustrated in his bid to sign a new goalkeeper this summer as the club prepare for life in the Premier League.
