Tottenham have handed a trial spell to Barcelona's Spanish Under-17 international midfielder Einard with a view to a deal.
The 18-year-old has reportedly slipped out of the reckoning at the Nou Camp and is looking to try and get his career back on track in London with the Premiership side. And, with Spurs boss Martin Jol keen to bring in and nurture young talent at White Hart Lane, it could be an ideal switch for all parties involved.
Einard will get the opportunity to show what he is capable of when he links up with Tottenham's youth side for a tournament in Belgium next week.
A so-called Spurs source quoted in the News of the World said: "Einard is definitely one for the future and his family were most impressed with Tottenham."
