Put a Hong Kong-based company together with Steve McManaman and Birmingham City, shake it about a bit and you get Spanish superstar Raul signing for the West Midlands side. That is according to the People on Sunday which suggests that former Real Madrid man McManaman is on the board of the company that has just bought a share in Blues and could well take the club over in the near future.
The deal, headed up by businessman Carson Yeung has already provided plenty of stories for the press after it was suggested that a steady flow of Chinese players could be on their way to St Andrew's.
Now it seems that McManaman has been charged with talking to some of his friends in the game and persuading them to join Blues, with former team-mate Raul at the top of the list.
