  Newcastle United's new owners have opened talks to bring Geordie legend Alan Shearer back to the club.
  
  New chairman Chris Mort organised a meeting last week with the former Newcastle and England skipper.
  
  Owner Mike Ashley and Mort are keen to get Shearer, 36, on board to reestablish a Geordie connection at the club.
  
  But they will need all their powers of persuasion because Shearer is happy with his media work.

  i tot with new owners, they can finally get rid of his shadows.......think it'll be a mistake to bring him back.....
