Birmingham City have brought in Aston Villa's Liam Ridgewell and Fulham's Franck Queudrue.
Blues' manager Steve Bruce took his tally of summer signings to ten and bolstered his defensive options as he prepares for his team's first season back in the top flight.
Ridgewell became the first person since Des Bremner in the mid 1980s to make a permanent move across the city from Villa Park to St Andrews but the 23-year-old isn't too worried about the inevitable reaction.
"It's about football. I just want to get on and play my football and it doesn't really come into it," the former England U21 international told the club's official website. "I am looking forward to working with Steve.
"He is a good manager and he has done a lot in his career as a centre half, so that's a lot to look up to. Playing for so many years at Manchester United you can't go wrong and I'm sure I'll learn a lot of him because I am still young and making my way in the game."
Birmingham paid £3million for the former West Ham United schoolboy who has signed a three-year deal with the Blues.
Birmingham also paid Fulham £2million for Queudrue - beating Sunderland in the race to clinch the former Middlesbrough star's signature. The French international has signed a three-year deal during which his fee could rise to a possible £2.5million.

Decent signings. And luckily for them, they pulled out of Ghaly deal.
