English Spine Is Essential For Jol

Tottenham manager Martin Jol has stressed the importance of keeping the spine of his team British as the Premiership continues to be flooded with foriegners.
Jol has signed players from across Europe during his three years at the club, but he has managed to keep the key players English or Irish, which he believes to be of vital importance.
It is in comparison to teams like Arsenal, who hardly have a single English player in the squad, while Manchester City have just embarked on a spending spree involving the arrival of eight players from abroad.
The Dutchman Jol said: "I have played in England and I know how important it is to have English players in a traditional English club.
"We've changed probably more than 25 players since I've been here, but my spine has always been the same - English and Irish, and they're still here."
This summer Tottenham have signed Welsh defender Gareth Bale and English international Darren Bent, who becomes the eighth player in their squad to have a full England cap. -

Tottenham Paul Robinson , Jermaine Jenas , Jermain Defoe , Michael Dawson , Tom Huddlestone , Darren Bent , Wayne Routledge , lennon , King , Gardner , Gareth Bale And many many others but Only Robinson used regularly in england set up , King And Jenas very rarely
Chelsea Got Bridge , Terry , A.Cole , J.Cole , SWP all call up b4 and used @ times (all used quite often except SWP)
Glen Johnson also english play 5 times for english but now gone but might be call up soon
and why count First team players only ? as long as sometimes got play good enough
And Arsenal now don't have a single englishman on the starting line up - Correct me if i am wrong unless they play walcott -

Club level - Walcott did play some part of it
international - Probably U-21 or U-18 -
