JOSE MOURINHO insists Shaun Wright-Phillips is 'loved' at Chelsea. The ex-Manchester City star has endured a nightmare stint since joining the Blues from Manchester City two years ago. But his fortunes are likely to change this season with Mourinho returning to a 4-3-3 formation.Arjen Robben's impending exit to Real Madrid could also boost the England winger's stake for a regular starting spot. And Mourinho has revealed Wright-Phillips is more than happy with life at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues boss said: "His team-mates love him and I think that's very important for a player to feel confident where he is. "I think that Shaun is a great example for other people. "Being a great professional is the key, and even in bad moments he never gave up. "He was always open to criticism, to learn, to improve, to work. "He was never happy with what he had, he always wanted more. "But at the same time, he respected fellow players, he respected the manager. "He was always ready for everything. Ready to be first choice, ready to be on the bench and ready even, to be out of the game. "I think being a great example of a good professional was the key for him. "We believe in him, he believes in us, he is happy with the way we work."
