Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of Chelsea winger Arjen Robben, according to reports in Spain. Both AS and Marca claim the deal is closer than ever to being done, with the latter reporting that Blues owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be prepared to accept Real's offer of 30million euros for the Dutchman. AS, meanwhile, believe Robben's move is imminent after talks between Peter Kenyon and Real director Jose Angel Sanchez. Robben's countrymen Royston Drenthe and Wesley Sneijder both signed for Real last week, the former after threatening to take his former club Feyenoord to the Court of Arbitration.
And while Real know Robben will not go to those lengths, they are confident the winger has made it as clear as he can to Blues boss Jose Mourinho that he wants to move to the Bernabeu.
