Sunderland manager Roy Keane has accepted he needs to keep on spending following his side's abject display at Wigan.A 3-0 defeat at The JJB had Keane fuming, in a post-match appraisal that saw him concede that he had been at fault in his team selection.
The former Manchester United favourite has drawn several conclusions over the manner of his team's display and he is already thinking of a shake-up.
Fine line"We've got to learn, and we've got to learn fast," said Keane. "But some of the lads have been here before and clearly they haven't learned.
"I do take full responsibility; I'm the one who's picking the team.
"There's a fine line between loyalty and stupidity, and no doubt I've been stupid - it won't happen again."
Injuries to Dean Whitehead and Grant Leadbitter have left Keane somewhat short in midfield and this is a situation he is keen to rectify.
"We were looking at that anyway, likes lots of clubs, but that's not a knee-jerk reaction to this defeat," Keane said.
"We definitely need a bigger, stronger squad.
"With Deano getting injured and Grant missing, it gives other players an opportunity, and some take that, some don't."
