England will be without Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves and Darren Bent for the friendly against Germany on Wednesday.
Liverpool midfielder Gerrard will rest his broken toe while Manchester United's Hargreaves is still feeling pain from his knee injury.
Bent misses out because of a thigh injury he suffered in Tottenham's win over Derby on Saturday.
England have also confirmed Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell will play no part in the game because of a groin injury.
There was some good news for England coach Steve McClaren on Monday as David Beckham took part in the afternoon training session.
The 32-year-old, who has been struggling to recover from an ankle injury, played his first full game for new club LA Galaxy on Saturday before taking a flight from New York to London.

Oh dear. Typically rubbish goalkeeping from Paul Robinson and an appalling miss by Michael Owen conspired to turn what had threatened to be a decent England performance into a 2-1 defeat by Germany. Hardly the ideal preparation for next month's must-win qualifiers - but, remarkably, Steve McClaren managed to spot "many positives". Did you see any?
PAUL ROBINSON admits he fears for his England place after his latest blunder show at Wembley. The jittery keeper dropped a massive clanger on a disastrous night for the Three Lions against their arch-rivals. Spurs stopper Robbo let in a soft equaliser for Germany and now looks set for the chop in next month’s crucial Euro 2008 qualifier in Israel. England have now managed just two wins in their last nine matches — and they were against Andorra and Estonia.
Robinson said: “Do I worry about my place? Yes, definitely. “I’m very disappointed with the way I played. I’m very disappointed with the first goal. I got myself in a reasonable position for the ball to be crossed. “I was unlucky on two counts. But people won’t show sympathy. You can understand why and I’m hurting.”
Robinson has been England No 1 for two years but a series of errors have put his place in jeopardy. His air-kick cock-up in Croatia last October led to a miserable 2-0 defeat and put England boss Steve McClaren under serious pressure.
David James replaced Robbo at half-time last night in his first international outing for two years. Now the Portsmouth keeper looks a decent bet to take over next time out. -

tho germany is missing several key players including ballack, barowski, schwenstiega ( izzit liddis ) klose, we have to give england some credit. i thought they played well and created many chances albeit to some poor finishing ( including owen ).

England always have selection problem and end up blame on the injury. Their problem seem like their tactic is not always rite, the player mind set and the team spirit is not there. With or without Beck is still the same? I think the manager is the person that need to be replaced not any players here. whether is 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 their problem is still the left flank that lack of back up players. The auto selection means Owen still a main man in the team? I will not choose him unless he can proof himself fit and back in top form.
This Auto selection causes a lot of negative problem on the players, any players who r selected will try to impress the boss instead of winning the game as a team. Those who r confirm sure will have a place in there will take it easy.
Nothing surprise me when England lost since Sven took over, they will never win any major trophy with this kind of management. -
