  my aunt bought me a chelsea scarf when i was a boy. before that i was an alan shearer fan so i supported newcastle because of him.
  
  then i started to read in the newspaper about em during the 98/99 year i think where they bought desaily, laudrup etc...

  I support United beacuse of Yorke. I like the style United play. Yorke's professionalism. Always having that smile and his collar is always up.

  Than i started to grow up with the team with Scholesy, Giggsy,
  
  Butty, Becky, and Neville..

  I started supporting Man U in 1994 because of the players. They had really very stylish wingers in Kanchelskis, Gillespie, Giggs and Sharpe, and Schmeichel who scored a heroic last-gasp goal against this Russian club in the UEFA Cup to preserve Man U's unbeaten home record in Europe that had stood for decades.
  
  Then there is Ince the Guv'nor who sometimes looked bo chap but was actually a very good holding midfielder, and of course Cantona who was godlike.
  
  I also liked the S&S pair of Blackburn at that time, but I just could not resist Man U lar. Haha

  What are your reasons why you like your favorite football club?
  
  Tampines Rovers FC. Supported them since 2001
  
  1)History: won s.league champions twice (2004 and 2005) and 2 singapore cup (1998 and 2005).
  
  2) For the players or a specific player? They are Tan Kim Leng, Mirko, Mustafic Fahrudin, sead muratovic. I knew mirko personally.
  
  4) For the way they play? Possession football and counter attacks and deadly set pieces.
  
  5) For the trophies/competitions they've won? Being a neighbour hood club, they are not financially as strong as government clubs like SAFFC, Home Utd and YoungLions. But yet, they still manage to win trophies and emerge as one of the new force in s.league.
  
  7) For they're really cool jersey. Yes! yellow is the colour!!

  reasons 2 and 4
  
  supported them during primary 4 or 5. For some reasons, I stayed up and watch Man Utd vs Juventus at UCL at midnight. Then somehow, 2 weeks later, i saw that match again. Didn't know it was the second leg, so i thought wtf? why they reply? maybe something wrong with the last match.
  
  Only recently then I realise its the treble era when i started to support, didn't know at that time cause I don't really follow them throughout the season . And i didn't even know they won title that year
  
  Back then, strikers like Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole, the way they score, and tag team, still remains in my mind clearly.
  
  Another reason was Paul Scholes and David Beckham. My friend and I will always imitate them, he will say he is Beckham and I say I'm Paul Scholes
  
  And I always like David Beckham's curling free kicks and score
