Everton have reportedly switched their attention to Fenerbahce's Stephen Appiah after Manuel Fernandes snubbed them for Valencia.
Ghana midfielder Appiah is now thought to be the subject of Moyes' interest, but he will face the prospect of competition from a number of clubs, while Turkish side Fenerbahce are not thought to be willing to sell.
German side Schalke have already had two bids snubbed, while Premiership rivals West Ham have also been linked with a swoop. However, the Toffees will be boosted to hear that if Appiah does leave Fenerbahce then England would be his preferred destination.
It is now a case of Moyes trying to push something through before the transfer window slams shut at midnight on Friday.
