Arsenal take Diarra from Chelsea

  Arsenal completed a late move to sign midfielder Lassana Diarra from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. The Gunners say the 22-year-old Frenchman, who can play at right-back, has signed a long-term deal.
  
  The former Le Harve player said: "I have great respect for the manager Arsene Wenger and am attracted by the style of football that the team plays. "Of course I am excited by what the future holds and keen to play my part in helping Arsenal fight for trophies."
  
  Diarra, who has played for France in their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, will wear the number eight shirt. Wenger added: "Lassana is a multi-functional player, making him a great addition to our squad. Not only is he hard working, he has a creative edge and is comfortable playing in the middle of the pitch or at right-back."

  Wenger is a very wise manager, he seem to have an eye for young talent... Diarra spent almost 3 yrs at Chelsea learning and finding his way... and now finally looking like an able epl player... Jose let him go... i wonder why.

  Because Chelsea / Roman have a very good / Respectable policy as well as frustrating for chelsea fans
  
  as long as a chelsae player is unhappy he will be allow to leave
  
  Look @ Crespo he is allow to be loan to AC and inter and never return to chelsea now
  
  Veron sold / free to other club for very cheap price
  
  johnson no place in chelsea so dun want to stay
  
  Diarra furstrated by the lack of chances thus leave
  
  Diarra and Crespo is the 2 big lost for us

  1 more reason might be that diarra doesn't want to renew his contract, jose being afraid that he might get nothing let him go
