Too many imports ruining the game?

  Sir Trevor Brooking has once again highlighted the issue of imported players ruining EnglandÂ’s international chances.
  
  He thinks so many foreign stars are playing over here that not only do they fill the first team places but also they deny home-grown youngsters the chance to develop through academy teams.
  
  Sir Trevor thinks this means EnglandÂ’s chances of winning any international tournament are getting less and less.
  
  But is he right? Let's look at the evidence. When Sir Trevor played there were just a handful of foreign players in England – yet our international team was one of the worst ever.

  the people to wince the loudest is Wenger if anything were to be done to stop imports.
