CHELSEA are set to incur the wrath of Barcelona by trying to snatch boy wonder Giovani Dos Santos. The Blues plan to land the Mexican ace, heralded as the new Ronaldinho, despite a £13.5million buy-out clause in his contract.Dos Santos, 18, outshone Thierry Henry in pre-season, made his La Liga debut against Athletic Bilbao last week — and is set for a full Mexico debut on Sunday.
Barca chiefs are aware of the Chelsea threat and are desperate to tie him to a new long-term contract with a buy-out clause of £67million. But nothing has been agreed yet. Dos Santos said: “I haven’t signed — we’re still talking.
“With so many stars at Barcelona, sometimes I think it would be good if football was played with 12 as that way I wouldn’t be left out.”
