Scolari strikes Serbian

Portugal remain off the pace following a controversial 1-1 draw against Serbia. Simao Sabrosa opened the scoring with a brilliant free-kick before Marko Pantelic levelled two minutes from time.
But the real talking point came when Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was involved in a confrontation with Serbia's Ivica Dragutinovic.
The Brazilian may face a fine, a touchline ban or worse after he appeared to throw a punch as the Sevilla man, but he denied any wrongdoing.
As the game drew to a close, players pushed and shoved each other in a row that finished with Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari lashing out at Serbian defender Ivica Dragutinovic.
"I just touched his hair a bit." Scolari said. -

UEFA Launch Scolari Investigation
Uefa have predictably decided to launch an investigation in the events surrounding Luis Felipe Scolari's punch at Ivica Dragutinovic.
Luis Felipe Scolari hit out at Ivica Dragutinovic during Portugal's clash with Serbia last night, after being abused but ths defender, who was sent off for his part in the mass altercation that followed.
The claims have been flying this way and that, with Scolari slamming referee Markus Merk, and Ivica dragutinovic, and the defender pleading his innocence.
Rather expectedly, Uefa have decided to launch a disciplinary investigation against both Scolari and Dragutinovic.
The control and disciplinary body of Uefa will meet on 19th September to reveal the results and their verdict.
