According to reports in the Italian media, Cristian Zaccardo has emerged as a target for Manchester City.
Sky Blues boss Sven Goran Eriksson is reported to have sent scouts out to watch the 27-year-old Italian international side-back in action for Palermo with the intent of making an offer in January barring any discoveries of serious defects in his game.
Eriksson will have to be prepared to spend a pretty penny though, as it was barely a month ago that Zaccardo put pen-to-paper on a contract extension which runs until 2012.
