Chelsea's top hitman Didier Drogba says he may not be fully fit for another month.
The Ivory Coast striker was the club's leading scorer last season with 33 goals.
But a knee injury flared up again in the 2-0 defeat by Aston Villa a fortnight ago.
Drogba is a doubt for the Champions League clash with Rosenborg on Tuesday and next Sunday's showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
He moaned: "It has been agony since as far back as Chelsea's last pre-season match.
"During that time I've played four Premier League matches — I just can't go on like that any more.
I'm desperately hoping to be free from pain by the time we play Valencia on October 3.
"But, frankly, I'm truly pissed off at the idea of missing even one Champions League match.
"That's the competition I MUST win this season."
