Inter Coach Roberto Mancini and President Massimo Moratti are set to collide over Luis FigoÂ’s angry reaction to being substituted yesterday.
The Portuguese winger was replaced by Dejan Stankovic after 65 minutes and showed his disgust by kicking an advertisement board as he made his way off the field.
Mancini was none too impressed by FigoÂ’s actions and criticised the former Real Madrid wizard in his post-match interview.
“If he kicked the advertisement board then I feel sorry for him. If every time he does that then it is his own problem, not mine. It is best he sorts out his attitude when getting substituted,” stated Mancini.
However Moratti offered a completely opposite line of thought to Mancini and even went as far to say that he admired FigoÂ’s act of petulance.
“Figo naturally thinks he should always play and maybe Mancini took him off in order to save him for Wednesday,” Moratti said.
“The kick to the advertisement board? Well personally I like these kind of childish reactions as it shows the desire of Figo to do well for this club. It shows that he is a winner.”
