Brazilian forward Amantino Mancini has revealed he turned down an offer from Liverpool to stay at Roma.
Mancini was strongly linked with a move to Anfield during the summer - and the 27-year-old admitted Reds boss Rafael Benitez had targeted him.
"Liverpool wanted me, along with Inter Milan, Lyon and Real Madrid," said Mancini, whose club take on Manchester United in the Champions League next month.
"But I hope to reach an agreement with Roma in the next month to sign a new contract.
"The rest doesn't interest me. All I want is to concentrate on playing." Roma have begun the season with three straight victories, and Mancini told Italian TV: "We are capable of winning the Serie A title."
