Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has joined the growing cluster of managers that are unhappy with the international break.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, who appears to have attended the Jose Mourinho Finishing School this summer, added the international break to the list of things that hack him off.
Several other managers including the Special One, Alex Ferguson and Sam Allardyce have hinted at the disruption the break causes at club level.
Redknapp feels aggrieved that he only had 24 hours to work with his players before SaturdayÂ’s test against Liverpool.
"The international break is a mess," Redknapp told The News.
"We played at Arsenal two Saturdays ago, I had ten players go and didn't see or hear from them until Friday morning before Liverpool.
"I asked one of them who he played; he said Burkina Faso, or whatever it is! I've never heard of it - I bet they are good at football. At least I know where it is now."
