Avram Grant is to take over as coach following the shock departure of Jose Mourinho, according to reports. Grant, an Israeli and former coach of his country's national side, was appointed director of football in the close season and had been shadowing Mourinho. Mourinho had opposed his appointment during a long standoff with Abramovich. -

RA's ruthless. Mourinho brought Chelsea 2 titles in 3 seasons and it is a good record, why he sack him? Don't tell me he expects a major trophy to be delivered every season?

Hei, i am a AC Milan fan, dont want to see Lampard lah, he is definitely an overrated player whom i think is only good for long range shot nia. Avram Takes First Training Session, MourinhoÂ’s Staff Also Depart.
New Chelsea boss Avram Grant has taken control of his first training session in charge of the club, meanwhile MourinhoÂ’s backroom staff have also departed.
Baltemar Brito (assistant manager/coach), Rui Faria (assistant manager/fitness coach) Andre Villas (head opposition scout/first team coach) and Silvino Louro (assistant manager/goalkeeper coach) have all left their posts.
With such drastic changes at the club, the long-term stability has unsurprisingly been questioned. It has yet to be announced whether Grant will be a permanent appointment, but with his first game in charge against Manchester United at Old Trafford, if the next few games are being treated as a trial, the suggestion is the story is set to run. -
