Jurgen Klinsmann has announced he is ready to return to full-time management.
Klinsmann has been out of football for over a year since resigning as Germany coach following the World Cup and the confirmation of his availability is bound to provoke renewed links with both Chelsea and Tottenham.
Klinsmann remains a cult hero for the White Hart Lane faithful after his two stints in North London during the 1990s while it was reported last summer that he rejected an approach by Chelsea to take over from Jose Mourinho.
The German was understood to be unwilling to uproot his family from their home in America, but, according to The Daily Telegraph, he is now willing to leave his base in California for permanent work.
"I'm ready for the next challenge," he said.
"I'm eager to get back in. If the right opportunity comes along, a chance to work together with the right people in the right situation and for the right cause, then I'll be back."
