Jussi Jaaskelainen is being tracked by a host of Premier League clubs, after talks over a new deal at Bolton ended without an agreement.
The Finnish ace is one of the most highly-regarded goalkeepers in England, but after 10 seasons at The Reebok Stadium his future does not appear to be with The Trotters.
Jaaskelainen's agent Peter Harrison has confirmed that the contract offer which was rejected, has now been withdrawn by the club.
The 32-year-old is out of contract next year and is free to talk to other clubs from 1st January - and clubs such as Arsenal, Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa are understood to be closely monitoring his situation.
"Nothing is happening at the moment, the talks have stopped and the contract offer withdrawn - that is where we are at," Harrison told the website.
"It is only natural that clubs would be looking at Jussi - he is a fantastic professional and one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
"And of course he would be interested in the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle, which player wouldn't be?
"But we will just have to see what happens, nothing has been decided yet and you never know what will happen in football."
