Juventus are scouring the market for centre-backs following serious injury to Jorge Andrade and have taken special interest in Hamburg defender Vincent Kompany.
The 21-year-old counts as one of the most promising defenders in the game and as such his club would only allow him to leave if Juve are willing to pay above the odds – especially since they were so unluckily to lose him for almost all of last season due to an injury he suffered shortly after arriving on a 8m euro deal from Anderlecht as a direct replacement for Daniel van Buyten.
HSV reportedly want at least 12m euro for the Belgian powerhouse, which is a price that could force the Bianconeri to turn their attention elsewhere.
