
The Finnish goalkeeper is out of contract at Bolton Wanderers at the end of the current season, and his agent has revealed the Trotters have withdrawn an offer of a new deal after his continues stalling.
"Nothing is happening at the moment, the talks have stopped and the contract offer withdrawn - that is where we are at," Peter Harrison told Sky Sports. "It is only natural that clubs would be looking at Jussi.
“He is a fantastic professional and one of the best goalkeepers in Europe. And of course he would be interested in the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United, which player wouldn't be? But we will just have to see what happens.”
It is believed that Arsene Wenger is keen to take Jaaskelainen to the Emirates Stadium to become the Gunners new number one, with Jens Lehmann rumoured to be returning to Germany in the summer.
