  FIFA just made the announcement: the big novelty in the next Club World Cup (held in Japan in December) will be the addition of two extra referees to the regular linesman-referee-linesman trio. Each additional referee will stand close to the goalmouth, although their precise role (as well as their exact positioning) is to be determined later as the competition draws closer.
  
  The proposal, which was strongly supported by UEFA president Michel Platini, was just approved today in the first meeting of FIFAÂ’s new Strategic Committee, chaired by Platini in Zurich.

  Just an additional kayu in the field if you ask me. Why dont they introduce like the American Football refereeing system where you can stop the game and see what the big screen says.You could play it over and over again to see the hands of god or when a player gets a head to the chest and then make a final decision.
