Juventus are ready to launch a January transfer bid for unsettled Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko.
The Mali international, who recently signed a new four-year contract at Anfield, revealed yesterday that he now regretted rejecting a move to the Bianconeri in the summer.
“I should have accepted a move to Juventus,” said Sissoko. “Not moving to Juve was a massive error on my part.”
It seems that Juventus have taken note of the SissokoÂ’s comments and are ready to revive their bid for the energetic midfielder.
Bianconeri director of sport Alessio Secco is currently in London, supposedly negotiating a deal to bring ChelseaÂ’s Frank Lampard to Turin, however he may now take a trip up the M1 to visit Liverpool.
Juventus will require an extra centre-midfielder in January as Portuguese flop Tiago Mendes seems certain to leave the club.
Sissoko has worked with Coach Claudio Ranieri before at Valencia and could provide the power and vigour that the Bianconeri require in the middle-of-the-park.
