Inter Milan planning £14million Arsenal swoop?

The Italian champions are keen to boost their squad at the end of the season as they look to stamp their mark on the game at home and abroad, and Roberto Mancini will have a healthy transfer kitty to do so.
Reports in Italy claim the San Siro giants will look to lure Robin van Persie from the Emirates Stadium, and are lining up a bid in the region of £14million for the striker.
Meanwhile, the Dutch international has revealed that whilst he is enjoying his football with the Gunners, he knows it is unlikely he will be at the club for the rest of his career.
"I'm enjoying every day but I'm also realistic," he told Sport magazine. "One day the working relationship will come to an end, whether that is because I go or because Arsene Wenger leaves.
"But, for now, that isn't the case and as long as things are as good as they are now then I'm staying. I owe Arsene Wenger a big debt of thanks because he believed in me." -

The thing about Arsenal is they can't seem to hold on to their players... The fact is when players makes it at Arsenal, they would want to go to "a bigger club" when is come in for them...
Arsenal can't defend against this type of thing happening over and over again these days... Long gone were the days when a player would stay with them after he has made it... Players from their famous defence like David Seaman 13 yrs, Nigel Winterburn 12 yrs, Lee Dixon 14 yrs, Martin Keown 11 yrs, Steve Bould 11 yrs, Tony Adams 19 yrs all stayed for more than 10 yrs together... And Paul Merson 11 yrs and Ray Parlour 12 yrs as well...
Since Nicolas Anelka left them for a "bigger club" a few yrs ago, others like Emmanuel Petit, Marc Overmars (only stayed 3 yrs) have also followed... Edu, José Antonio Reyes and Ashley Cole as well... Players at the top of their game and they wanted to keep... but couldn't...
The thing is, in England... only Liverpool and Man Utd are seen as a "big club"... Just like in Spain Barce and Real only. Therefore i won't be surprise if FÃ bregas or van Persie leave them before they want to sell too...
Perhaps only Bergkamp 11 yrs, is one of the only few foreign star that stayed back after making a name for himself and retired with the club... -
It won't be long before Arsenal will become one of these clubs.

It is very hard for player to stay long nowadays, 10yrs back EPL still not consider the richer and biggest league yet, after they re-enter UCL then the top 3 clubs get richer and later Chelsea. Player come and go as reward is very much higher compared 10 yrs ago. Now even ManU dun produre many talent as in 93. Many r import and later being sold at a loss as they r willing to spend rather to train them from school.
Today, dun think any player in Man U will stay as long as Giggs. -
A rich club is not tag by its asset. It is tagged to its owner trabsfer spending power and owner asset! 14mil is cheap for a sharpshooter like RVP. Heck i wished Chelsea can sign him but unlikely. I don't think he wana be another Ashley Cole.
