Whats the worst decision your club has ever made?

For example releasing your favourite player or buying someone they shouldnt etc etc.

at one moment of time,i tot arsenal made the biggest mistake by letting thierry go. but now i dont feel tat's a biggest mistake.
i still think the biggest mistake arsenal made was letting viera go...

man u bought the super 3 - bellion, kleberson, djemba x2, then veron
chelsea bought smertin, balls are loose, tiago, veron (again), mutu etc
liverpool bought kromkamp, josemi, the next zidane, biscan, nunez, paletta
arsenal bought cygan, jeffers?, stepanovs?, richard wright, pennant -
Wenger is a shrewd man.. Viera? how much was he worth to Arsenal?
Wenger saw in Fabregas someone better than Viera.. and look how Fabregas outplayed Viera in THAT UCL game..
Viera was also let go because of a physical condition.. one of his legs is shorter than the other.. i would think that this would be his last season.. the doctors did say that it would start to tell once he reaches 30.. and he's 31 this year...
so Wenger let Viera go.. i think it was also a mutual decision...
as for Henry, Wenger had to let him go.. look at the current squad.. i would bet that ALL of them would be overawed by Henry and not be anywhere near their potential.. look at them now... they would be hamstrung by this great Arsenal hero.. they would be tentative and not dare to be all that they can be, probably hesitant to make that mistake in front of greatness..
i've seen Arsenal play this season.. they are amazing at times..
with both Viera and Henry around, i doubt this team would be anywhere near as good... sometimes, great parts diminish the whole.. Wenger was wise enough to see it.. -

IMO, shouldnt have sold pires but he wanted to leave. Pires should have played in the UCL final against barcelona but wenger didnt field him iirc.
