Hands off Alves and Kanoute
SEVILLE president Jose Maria del Nido has warned Juande Ramos: "You wont take any of our players." Ramos is expected to take over as Spurs boss next week and could target some of his former stars, including Daniel Alves, Frederic Kanoute and Christian Poulsen. But Del Nido rapped: "We are not planning to sell any of our players. "If anyone wants to get any of our players they will have to pay their get-out clauses in full."
Some of Seville's players have huge clauses in their contracts which prevent them from leaving the club on the cheap. Even big-spending Chelsea were priced out of a move for Brazilian ace Alves in the summer due to his staggering £26m price tag.
Del Nido was left fuming by Ramos' sudden exit from Seville and added: "Ramos told us he was quitting and that was in spite of the serious damage this decision would cause. "We would like to thank him for his contribution and the five cups he won here. "But because of the damage he has caused, we won't speak of Ramos again."
