Avram Grant is ready to make Jonathan De Guzman his first signing when the transfer window opens in January.
The Chelsea boss is lining up an £8million move for Feyenoord’s attacking midfielder.
The 20-year-old starlet has been personally recommended to Roman Abramovich by the veteran Dutch coach Piet De Visser.
It was De Visser who was behind sporting director Frank ArnesenÂ’s move to Stamford Bridge and he was also the man who first brought midfielder Mikel John Obi, striker Salomon Kalou and defender Alex to the BluesÂ’ attention.
Now he has told them to make their move for De Guzman, rated as one of the brightest prospects in Dutch football.
