Darren Bent enjoyed a bumper goal scoring day for Tottenham against Wigan - just hours after crashing into a referee.
The £17m striker drove into the back of official Patrick Miller's car in a freak accident on Saturday night.
But the fender bender did not stop Bent coming off the bench and netting the final goal in the 4-0 drubbing of Wigan at White Hart Lane.
Miller was driving home after taking charge of the Barnet v Gillingam FA Cup tie when Bent's car collided with him around 6pm on the M25.
Nobody was injured but the ref was shocked to see Bent there and the two swapped insurance details.
And a source close to Bent joked: "Darren's praying Miller doesn't work at any Tottenham games in the near future or he's had it."
