what about the c*ckster wayne bridge?
joe cole was anonymous on the pitch.
clearly if you wanna play a 5-men midfield, i would put barry and hargo as holding, free gerrard to attack, and maybe j.cole/downing on the left, becks on the right. crouch upfront.
if you wanna revert to 4-4-2, take out barry for bent/defoe.
but in this case, since hargo isn't playing, why take out barry?!
why not the useless fat lampard?
and SWP was woeful! Becks would have been a more logical choice with experience, passing, set-pieces and creativity.
J.Cole, SWP, Wayne Bridge... what does this tell you? In recent times, they have underperformed, which epitomises England's performances.
Beckham is half-fit...so putting him on at the on-set might not be wise...
Well I think the problem was to start with Bridge when u have Ashley Cole on the bench, and to have Sol Campbell when u have Richards who can also play at the same position (what about carragher?!??)
Midfield was woeful. 5 midfielders and 2 goals conceded in 15 mins. Gosh. And to play Crouch they should have had wingers (they have) and someone that Crouch can knock down passes to (which was lacking!)
All in all, manager fault la
