an open chance for mcclown n gangs to win the match n yet they screwed it up. such an important game mcclown was daring to field an inexperience keeper who only has one cap (let's count friendly match out). he would have field James instead.
beckham should be in starting lineup as he would provide more balls for crouch since england love long-ball tactics.
ultimately, every england players should blame themselves for performing badly for the campaign.
really admire Croatia for proving everyone wrong by going all out for a win even though this match is unimportant to them. bet Russia will be grateful to them being professional players. -

when england cameback after 2-2, the crowds go wild! everyone thought england is going to euro 2008.
but the late goal by croatia seal off england's fate. mcclown dun even dare to stay at the end of the match, leaving the crowd booing the england players off.
conclusion:
england lost becos they took croatia too lightly as they thot croatia will give them face, little did they know croatia is going for a kill. -

Actually to be objective, the English have quality in their squad. But McClaren, like most of the managers before him, failed to gel the team and bring the best out of them

The players are at fault, yes. But there's obviously something very wrong with McClaren.
Everyone knows that this is an extremely crucial match for England. Doesn't take an idiot to know that, actually!
Yet for this match, McClaren 1) Chose an internationally unproven youngster to be goalkeeper, 2) Puts Gerrard and Lampard in the same f***ing team despite their many previous failures at gelling...
