Sven Göran-Eriksson has laughed off reports that Liverpool are interested in signing Michael Johnson and said that they would have to give him Anfield or Steven Gerrard in exchange.
The Manchester City boss was amused to hear that Rafa BenÃtez was rumoured to be watching the England Under-21 midfielder and joked about the player's asking price.
Johnson is seen as a key member of the Citizens' squad this term as the club continue to exceed expectations and challenge for a top four place.
"I have heard rumours that Liverpool wanted to buy him. I have never asked Michael about that but he is very happy here," Eriksson said.
"If Liverpool did come to buy him, they would have to sell their stadium first! Or swap him for Steven Gerrard... that's the only way he would go!
"But I don't think he wants to go anywhere. He has been playing every game for us apart from when he was injured, so I see no reason why he would want to go."
