South Korean star Cho Jae-jin is currently talking to at least one Premier league club and hopes to move to England in the January transfer window.
The 26 year-old striker has been playing in Japan for Shimizu S-Pulse for the past three seasons but his contract is about to end.
Cho was recently linked with championship club Charlton Athletic but has set his sights a little higher.
“Negotiations are ongoing,” Cho told Sports Khan newspaper, “I am not able to reveal the name of the club but we are meeting with a Premier League club.”
“If things happen quickly then it will be concluded within two weeks.”
According to the newspaper, London, namely West Ham or Fulham, is ChoÂ’s preferred destination.
In recent months, ChoÂ’s name has been mentioned in conection with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem and Belgian giants Anderlecht.
While reports of Anderlecht interest were denied, Cho admitted that the Eredivisie is a possibility.
“The Premier League is my number one target. If I fail then there is a good chance that I will go the Netherlands.”
