Spurs boss Juande Ramos has told Tom Huddestone, Wayne Routledge and Anthony Gardner to find new clubs.
The players will be axed in January as Ramos gives his squad a shake-up.
Winger Routledge and defender Gardner have not featured under Ramos.
Midfielder Tom Huddlestone upset the Spaniard by carrying too much weight. He could face being sent back to Derby with Paul Jewell keen.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have failed in a bid to land Espanyol's £8million-rated central defender Dani Jarque.
The Spanish outfit held a summit at which coach Ernesto Valverde insisted the 24-year-old was ‘indispensable.'
Spurs watched Jarque several times and were ready to fill a hole opened by Younes Kaboul's poor displays.
Espanyol sporting director Paco Herrera said: "Jarque is a key player and we don't want to break our system up."
