Lassana Diarra has announced that he wants to leave Arsenal in January after failing to win a regular place in the side during his first few months at the club.
The 22-year-old moved to the Emirates on the final day of the summer transfer window after assurances that he would be heavily involved, he has claimed.
Having only appeared in a handful of games, Diarra now feels undervalued at the Gunners and is hoping to be able to move on again ext month.
"We're halfway through December, and I've decided: I want to leave Arsenal," Diarra told L'Equipe.
"The bottom line is the coach doesn't need me."
Diarra insisted that Arsenal have gone back on the promises that were made to tempt him to join the club from Chelsea in August and he is not happy.
"They don't want me. I don't understand, because I've got more value in the French national team," he continued.
"When I signed for Arsenal I was made promises by the people who recruited me.
"But since the start of the season the only matches I've been involved in have been low-key, and to be honest I'm getting fed up with it."
